BK Sisters

BK Bindu and BK Sindhu, known as BK Sisters, are young talented performers born in a traditional  Sri Vyshnavates Family to Mr. B.K.S.R.Ayyangar and B.K.Aliveni in Eluru, India.

Learnt the first lessons of Carnatic Music (Vocal) at the age of 7yrs under Vidushimani Smt. Challapalli Sitadevi , devotional music under Smt. N.C.Sarojini. Further, learned under the tutelage of Vidwan. N.Ch. Butchacharyulu, who is the disciple of Guru Sri N.Ch.Krishnamacharyulu, doyn of Carnatic music hailing from the lineage of Saint Tyagaraja himself. Then continued learning under Vidushi Smt. Vishnubhatla Saraswati (Vijayawada), Sriman. T. Giridhar Bangalore. Presently learning under the tutelage of  Sriman. Nallan Chakravarthy Murthy (Bombay) . and Devotional music (Annamacharya keerthanalu) under Sriman. Vedavyasa Ananda Bhattar (Rtd.TTD Artist).

Recognised by several awards and accolades for in-depth musical talent:

• Performed in renowned reality shows like Etv ‘Padutha Theeyaga’, Maatv ‘SuperSingers’ etc.,
• Performed over 300 concerts in Devotional and Carnatic music all over the state.
• Recipient of 5 gold medals in TTD state and district level competitions.
• Won recognition with many awards and prizes in state/district level Intercollegiate and district level competitions
• Awarded B-grade in Devotional music by All India Radio in 2019 and sings regularly for the AIR.
• M.A.Music in Sri padmavathi mahila viswavidyalayam Tirupati.
• Doing Ph.d under the guidance of Smt..Prof.Dwaram Lakshmi.                                           

MUSIC ALBUMS:  Sung for ‘Kalyana Kartikeyam’ – A Classical Dance Ballet popular all over India. Composed ‘Tiruppavai (Rasadhuni)’ in Telugu – The latest solo album.
